“There will be no compromise on the quality. The work should be executed in such a way that no property, either public or private is spoilt,” Ravi said and added that a beautiful park will be developed in the area in collaboration with private parties. “The region will be developed as a tourist destination. Attention will be paid towards attracting film crews for shooting in the region,” he said.

He recalled that about one year ago a delegation had met the Chief Minister and kept forth a five point demand list. Development of Hirekolale lake comes as a part of this list.

With regard to Datta peeta, he said that Tourism Department has sanctioned Rs 5 crore for repair of Datta caves. CM had assured to release the remaining Rs 7 crore in the future.
Ravi said that CM has also promised to sanction Rs 180 crore for Chikmagalur-Kadur road after the DPR survey is ready.

“We had kept forth a demand for 100 additional bores for Dalit and Backward community members under the Ganga Kalyan. As many as 40 borewells have been sanctioned. If the quality of this work suffers then criminal case will be filed against the contractors and the officials,” Ravi warned.
