The CMC has already undertaken the work of eviction to facilitate the I G Road widening. Kencharaya temple development committee has agreed to shift the temple from I G Road.

He said the CMC will call for tender for the work of underground drainage soon. The work on asphalting road within the city will be undertaken in May. Namma Mane project has been approved for Chikmagalur and 1,200 houses have been sanctioned to the district. Houses will be distributed after constituting a committee under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner. The vacant sites in CMC limits are filled with wastes.
