Wicked Ride starts operations in Mysuru

In an attempt to tap the tourism potential and also to cater to the motorbike enthusiasts of the city, Wicked Ride, a luxury motorbike rental company, has launched its operations here recently.

The launch has coincided with the Dasara season, which goes up to the end of October.
Speaking to Deccan Herald, co-founder of Wicked Ride H R Vivekananda said the services have started with Harley-Davidson and Royal Enfield bikes initially and the fleet will be increased based on the demand. “Those interested in riding our bikes can book on www.wickedride.in or visit our office at Gokulam with relevant documents like driving licence,” he added.

He said Mysuru is the sixth destination for Wicked Ride, the Bengaluru-based company, after Bengaluru, Pune, Bhuj, Jaipur and Udaipur. The company is planning to expand its operations in 17 other destinations in India by March 2016.

“We started operations in Mysuru as we saw a lot of potential due to the increasing number of tech companies and also the tourist circuit around the city, which is a favourite amongst bikers,” Vivekananda said.

Wicked Ride was founded in 2014 by three friends — Vivekananda, G Anil and Varun Agni — who did not find options for renting motorcycles (especially high-end, luxury bikes) in Bengaluru at that time.

Realising that there is a new audience to cater to, they set up a company and started renting bikes starting from Royal Enfield to Harley-Davidson. The company has received Rs 5 crore seed funding in April 2015.
