Drowning mishap in Someshwara Beach, child dead

Lifeguards at Someshwara Beach rescued three persons of a family from drowning while a child died, on the outskirts of Mangaluru on Monday.

Though all the four were rescued, the child did not respond to the treatment at the hospital. The deceased is Maitreyi Ketkar.

Others who were rescued are Chintamani ketkar, 39-year-old, shraddha Ketkar (35), Gargi Ketkar (7). The condition of Gargi is said to be serious.

The mishap occurred when they were playing in the water and were washed away by a huge wave.
