EC appoints Moudgil as spl officer for enforcement

Observing that the Static Surveillance Teams, Flying Squad Teams and other agencies were ineffective in controlling the movement of cash, liquor and freebies in the city, the Election Commission has appointed Munish Moudgil as Special Officer (Enforcement).

An order issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer on April 11, said that Moudgil will now monitor the daily activities of these teams for the effective enforcement of the model code of conduct.

Moudgil, who is commissioner of Survey, Settlement and Land Records, Revenue Department, has also been entrusted with the task of developing a software for the daily monitoring of the same.
