Eduverse begins in Hubballi

There are plenty of employment opportunities in Agriculture and Information Technology sectors for students, said Dr D P Biradar, Director, Research, University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad.

He was speaking on Possible Employments in Future and Selection of Courses after inaugurating Eduverse, the 10th edition of Jnana Degula, in Hubballi on Saturday.

The event is organised by Deccan Herald-Prajavani.

"After the CET, most parents think of only engineering and medical programmes for their children. Many of them compete only for a few programmes. There are many other courses such as Agriculture and Information Technology which are equally important as they lead to better career opportunities," he said.

Biradar advised parents not to pressurise their wards about the selection of courses.

"The parents should consider interests of their children and decide the courses," he said.

"Selection of good courses helps build better future and career opportunities," he said.
