Hassan Badavane police arrested five persons on charges of online cricket betting using a mobile application, on the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in the city on Monday. The police recovered Rs 5,450 and two mobile phones from them.
It may be mentioned that the District Crime Information Bureau (DCIB) police had arrested five persons, involved in cricket betting for the ongoing IPL matches, in the city, a week ago.
