JOIN USFour persons were killed in two separate accidents across the district on Friday.
Three persons were killed on the spot after a speeding lorry hit the bike the three were riding near Tidagundi in Vijyapura taluk. The deceased have been identified as Balu Jayappa Pandre (45), Drupabai Balu Pandre (38) and Dheerabai Daragunde (30).
Rural police said that all the three had been to their relatives' house in Tidagundi from Aliabad. While returning, they entered the National Highway from Tidagundi village when the speedy lorry hit their bike.
In another accident, Nibisab Khader Patel Seethanur (40) succumbed to injuries he sustained in a head-on collision between two bikes near Brahmadevanamadu village of Sindgi taluk. The rider of another bike sustained grievous injuries in the accident.
