JOIN USSeveral parts of the state received moderate rains on Tuesday. However, it rained heavily in Dharwad city and surrounding areas for more than an hour in the afternoon.
The sky was overcast in Dharwad since morning. But it began to rain only towards the afternoon. Rainwater gushed into many low-lying areas in the city. Hubballi city and surrounding areas received intermittent rains. There were reports of light rains in Belagavi.
Parts of Raichur and Gadag districts received moderate rain whereas there was light rain in Uttara Kannada district. Moderate to heavy rains continued to lash Shivamogga on Tuesday. Heavy rains lashed Thirthahalli for hours together in the morning. Hosanagar, Sagar received good spell of rains intermittently.
Belur town in Hassan district received rains for more than 45 minutes on Tuesday afternoon. Channarayapatna, in Hassan too experienced rains for an hour. Moderate rains lashed across Mandya district on the day. Srirangapatna, Malavalli, Maddur and Mandya taluks received rains for half an hour. Parts of Mysuru city and surrounding places also received light showers.
