Hubballi's Sriharsha R Devaraddi bags bronze medal in World Shooting Para Sport Championships

Hubballi-based Sriharsha R Devaraddi on Tuesday made India proud by bagging a bronze medal at the World Shooting Para Sport Championships, which is being held at United Arab Emirates Al Ain.

Participating in the R4 10 Mtr Air Rifle Standing SH2, he scored 230.8 points to stand third in the ranking. The first two prizes were bagged by shooters from Italy and Ukraine.

A total of the top eight shooters from across the world participated in the finals. In the preliminary rounds, Sriharsha had scored 629.6 points overall and was placed in the fourth position before the final round.

In 2019, Sriharsha had bagged a silver medal at the Para-Shooting Level 3 World Competition held in IWAS, Sharjah.

Sriharsha, who was working in an insurance company, sustained injuries in an accident in 2013.

He had his earlier training at Hubballi Sports Shooting Academy.
