The leader of the Opposition B S Yeddyurappa on Sunday said that he was closely observing all the confusion happening in the JD(S)-Congress coalition government.

Yeddyurappa who was in Tumakuru to canvass on behalf of the BJP candidate for the south-east teacher's constituency Y A Narayana Swamy on Sunday said, people would not accept opportunistic politics. He urged the candidates for teacher's constituencies to prove it.

He claimed that BJP would come back to power in the state and requested the support of teachers for the establishment of a 'Nava Karnataka'.

He criticised the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government that was in power for five years for neglecting teachers.

"Please vote for Narayana Swamy by rising above differences in caste and religion. If you vote for Narayana Swamy, it is as good as voting for BJP," he said.

Tour from June 8

Yeddyurappa said that he would tour the districts that had been ravaged by heavy rains from June 8.

"I am waiting for the teachers' constituency elections to the Upper House to end. Soon after, I will begin my fight against the anti-people stand of the coalition government," he added.
