Working hard, consistency in studying helped me to excel in II PU commerce stream and top the list, said Olivita Ancilla D’Souza, a student of Alva’s PU College in Moodbidri.

Speaking to DH, Olivita said she is thrilled and happy over her results. Thanking institution Chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, teachers, parents, and brother, she said “without their support and encouragement I would not have scored 596 in PU exam. I want to become a CA and undergoing training to write CPT exam at the college.”

“Meticulous study and preparing for the exam as per the blue print provided by lecturers in the college helped me a lot. I used to study thoroughly during my holidays. Whatever, lecturers had taught me, I used to remember while studying,” she added.

Playing keyboard is my hobby in addition to singing, dancing and listening to music, she said. She is the daughter of Oliver Ubald D’Souza and Anitha Maria D’Souza.

Another topper from Satya Sai Loka Seva PU College Srikrishna Sharma who scored 596 said he too is excited over his results.  He has scored full marks in Basic Maths, Statistics, Business Studies and Accountancy. The atmosphere at  Satya Sai hostel was conducive for learning. The lecturers and hostel warden was very helpful and were clearing all the subject related doubts.

“I had made thorough preparations for the exam. I love reading,” said Sharma.

“I want to take up BCom and then go for CA,” he added.

Another topper Shreya Shenoy of Canara PU College also wants to become a CA and is the second topper in the state with 595 marks. She said “I had not restricted myself to studies alone. However, I was attentive in my studies.”
