It won't be mission-150, but mission-50 for BJP: Siddaramaiah

Last Updated 01 December 2018, 12:34 IST

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday said that the BJP's Mission-150 will remain Mission-50.

"After Devaraj Urs, I completed full five year term as chief minister. Despite Modi and BJP president Amit Shah's efforts, the BJP's Mission-150 will remain a dream and it will turn out to be Mission-50 for the saffron party," Siddaramaiah said at a rally at Mudhol.

"Should the one who was jailed and did not waive off farm loan become chief minister?" he sought to know from voters.

In a scathing attack on the BJP, Siddaramaiah said:"Modi hasn't waived off farm loan. He claims that farm loan waiver will affect country's economy. The Congress government has waived off Rs 8,165 crore farm loan. Don't be carried away by false promises of the BJP and Govind Karajol. It is certain that the Congress will retain power."

"Modi's mantra is Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Sathyanaash (along with everybody, destruction of everybody). He is the biggest liar," he charged.

B S Yeddyurappa, Janardhan Reddy, Krishnaiah Shetty and Haratala Halappa were sent to the jail. He took 320 kilometre padayatra to Ballari against illegal mining of Reddy brothers. Yeddyurappa and Reddy brothers were attempting to prevent the Congress from coming to power, Siddaramaiah said.
