570 farmers enrol for paddy purchase scheme

A total of 570 farmers have registered their names for the purchase of paddy in three APMCs in the district, said Gaurav Kumar Shetty, deputy director of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies. Paddy is being purchased through the recognised mills. Necessary action is being initiated by the supervisor regarding the objections on the omission of paddy crop in the crop survey, he said.
