JOIN USTarikere railway station is deprived of basic facilities, inspite of 16 trains passing through the railway station.
About 3,000 passengers travel daily from the railway station to various destinations.
Though the passengers have been demanding infrastructure facilities for the past several years, it has not been fulfilled so far. Without drinking water, shelter and seating facilities, the passengers have to struggle to catch a train at the station. As many trains arrive at the station in the night, the railways should provide atleast lighting facilities to the platform, said public.
Owing to the pressure from the passengers, the railways have started advance ticket booking counter for those trains bound to Bangalore for one hour in a day. The public have urged the railways to open booking counter for all the trains.
