Ayodhya: BKC takes exception to Union minister's remark

Last Updated 09 November 2019, 03:57 IST

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) vice president B K Chandrashekar on Wednesday objected to Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s statement that he will be appealing to the Supreme Court to fast-track the Ayodhya case.

At a function in Lucknow, Prasad had said he will make the request not in his role as law mnister but as a citizen.

“Such a distinction of his role by Prasad is most unacceptable. Several members of BJP have multiple identities, but, a law minister cannot claim such a privilege. There were two senior judges in the audience, one of them from the Supreme Court, makes his impropriety even more obvious”, Chandrashekar stated in a press release.
