To ensure peaceful conduct of Legislative Council elections to local bodies constituency, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr Rajendra K V has banned the sale and transportation of liquor from midnight of December 9 to midnight of December 10.
Liquor outlets should remain closed during the period, he said.
