Beat stress with sports, says DCF

The only option to beat the stress is through involving in sports.

He was speaking after inaugurating district-level cultural and sports competitions for government employees, organised jointly by Department of Youth Services and Sports, District administration, Zilla Panchayat and Karnataka State Government Employees Association here on Saturday.

The employees should involve in physical activities like sports for relief from mental stress, as they are expected to perform with more responsibility in their chores. Every employee should at least spend half an hour for sports or learn yoga, he suggested
Government Employees district unit president M Nagaraj presided. K M Rajegowda, Shivananda of Department of Youth Services and Sports, Rangegowda, Ramegowda of Information Department and others were present.

For good health

Additional Sessions Judge M Ramesh opined that a date with sports daily would prevent them from frequenting hospitals.

Speaking after inaugurating the annual sports meet at the police parade grounds here on Saturday, he said involving in sports from the childhood helps in physical, mental and personality development.

Every person should at least spend half an hour everyday in physical activities, he suggested.

Later, he administered the oath to the cops who had come from various parts of the State. Many sports events were held for the cops under 50 years and above 50 categories.

Superintendent of Police K V Sharatchandra, Additional Superintendent of Police K Yallappa, Dy SP Channabasappa and others participated.
