“The district unit opposes the decision of the State body of the Association. The government employees have already agreed to donate their one day’s salary towards the relief fund. Who gave the authority to the Association, without any seeking any permission, to declare the conrtribution of DA arrears?,” general secretary Amaranarayana has questioned,in a press release.
The High Court had warned the state government in a similar case on an earlier occasion.It had said that none has the right to curtail the salary and emoluments of the employees and the same should be effected only after the employee signifies his consent. Hence, the government should pay the arrears without any deduction, he has urged, in a statement.
