I dont stand to gain by advising farmers, says JD(S) supremo

Speaking at the ‘Farmers Awareness Meet’ here on Saturday, Gowda said that the government proposes to acquire the land in the guise of developing a land bank, to allot it for industries and entrepreneurs as and when needed.

“The land is being purchased at a low price. A few public representatives of Congress and JD(S) have hatched a plan to purchase farmers’ land with the motive of claiming more compensation,” Gowda alleged.

Clarifying that he is not profited in any way by advising farmers against selling land to the government, Gowda rued that farmers lack patience and do not learn lesson after stumbling. He declared that joint efforts by Congress and BJP to destroy JD(S) cannot materialise as long as he is alive.
