Hindustani music concert at Ganabharathi today

She will be accompanied by Pandith Veerabhadraiah Hiremath on the Hormonium and Pandith Ramesh Dhannur on the Tabla.

The concert is sponsored exclusively by Dr B B Rajapurohit in memory of his wife Ganga.
Vidushi Vani Hardiker, an exponent of Gwalior and Jaipur Gharana is a school teacher by profession and also a musician. She had her early teaching from Sangeetha shree Pandith  late Sandeep Udupa and Jayashree Patnekar.

Later on she continued her training from Shylaja Datar of Pune and presently she is under the tutelage of Pandith Kaivalya Kumar of Dharwad.

Hailing  from Yellapur, Uttara Kannada district, Vani Hardiker has been practicing Hindusthani music for twenty years.   She has received appreciations from many prestigious sabhas  in India for her melodious performance.

 She has participated in many music competitions and won prizes. She is the recipient of Suramani puraskar too.

Music recital at BVB

Dr Padma Murthy will be presenting a Carnatic music recital, as part of monthly music and cultural programme at the auditorium of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan on October 30 at 6 pm.
 Dr Padma has been bestowed with several awards, gold medals, citations and honours and is associated with Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji in his research on music therapy.
