Kodagu registers 60 pc results in PUC, slips to 7th place

The district had secured the 3rd place last year

Of the 4,634 students who appeared for the examination, 2,784 students have passed. This includes 1,621 girl students and 1,163 boys. Kodagu district has 48 PU Colleges. Of the 1,459 commerce students, 1,136 students have passed. In science, of the 636 students, 414 students have passed and in Arts stream, of the 2,539 students, 1,234 students have passed.

Vidyanikethana PU College, Gonikoppal, student P M Vittal has secured 574/600 and is placed first in the district in science stream. St Annamma PU College, Virajpet, student P N Somanna has secured 569/600 and is placed second in the district while COPS student Akshatha Chowta has secured 563/600 in Commerce stream.

In Arts stream, Kannada Bharathi PU College student Mohammed Faizal has secured 528/600, S A Chaitra of Shirangala PU College (513/600) and Sonia Fernandes of St Joseph College, Somwarpet has secured 496/600.  In Commerce stream, COPS student Akshatha Chowta (563), J S Sumana of St Annamma College (561) and Chethan Alva of St Michal PU College (540).

COPS College, Gonikoppal, has secured cent per cent result in PUC. Somwarpet Government PU College has registered 26.79 pass percentage in the district. In the college, of the 116 students, 38 students have passed in Arts stream, of the 21 students, one student has passed in commerce and of 16 students, only two students have passed in Science stream.

Zero per cent result

Science stream of Cauvery College, Bhagamandala, has registered zero per cent result. In Arts stream, of the 48 students, 28 have passed and in Commerce stream, of the 31 students, 23 have passed.
