JOIN USThe Mysore team defeated the Mandya Swarna Football Club 10-9 at the final match held at Suntikoppa. The tourney was organised by the Suntikoppa Youth Club at the Government Model Primary School ground. In the first half of the match, Venugopal of Mandya team had scored a goal in the 4th minute. The returngoal was struck at the 22nd minute by Sharath of Mysore team.
Both the teams could not score in the second half of the match even though team members were all palying in vigour. As the score as tied, a tie breaker was held in hich the Mysore team bagged 9 goals against Mandya’s 8.
While the Mysore team bagged the cup with a lead of one goal, Mandya became the runner up in the tourney. Manju of Mandya team was awarded the Best Goal Keeper title, while Venugopal won the Best Player award.
Donor D Vinod Shivappa distributed trophies to winners. Kodagu District Football Club President A Lokesh Kumar presided.
