He said, the plastic less than 40 microns thick has been banned across the nation. However, we have decided to ban all kind of plastic usage in Moodigere. On an experimental basis, the plastic has been banned now in Kalass hobli.
The customers and the shop keepers who violate the rule will be penalised with Rs 200. The Gram Panchayats concerned can take necessary action, informed Tahsildar.
Meanwhile, in the backdrop of concretising the road in the town, Tahsildar requested the localites to co-operate with the administration.
The PWD has already marked five feet land on both the side of the road for concretisation. The shop keepers and the house owners must vacate the land by April 22.
The road widening would help for the business transaction, so the public should co-operate, he requested.
