Prohibitory orders in Kodagu from September 30

Sale of liquor banned from 10 pm on Sept 29

Accordingly, processions, public meetings have been banned in the district when prohibitory order is in force. Organisations are not allowed to observe vijayotsava or black day after the pronouncement of the verdict by the court.

Bursting of crackers are banned and any such activity will be considered as violation of Section 144. Even sale of crackers also have been banned during the period.

Dry days

The Deputy Commissioner has prohibited the sale of liquor from September 29, 10 pm to midnight of October 2. The hotels, bars and restaurants will not be allowed to sell liquor during the period.

Sale of petrol banned

Deputy Commissioner has also passed an order to ban the sale of petrol and diesel in cans, bottles from the petrol bunks from September 29 midnight to October 2 midnight. However, the order is not applicable for filling petrol and diesel to vehicles in petrol bunks, the release clarified.
