Seminar on 'current trends in material science'

 
Speaking to the media persons, Head of the Department of Physics Dr Ashok Rao informed that the scientific programme includes panel discussion on ‘Nano materials,’ ‘Sensors and devices,’ ‘Surfaces/interfaces in thin films,’ ‘High temperature and super conductors,’ ‘Biomaterials and bioinformatics,’ ‘Photonics’ and ‘Magnetic materials.’

As many as 100 delegates from Karnataka, Goa and Kerala are taking part in the seminar. Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, department of instrumentation Professor Dr G Mohan Rao will deliver key-note address, he said.

The seminar will be inaugurated by Manipal University Registrar Dr G K Prabhu, he added. Coordinators Dr V Upadhyaya, Dr B V Rajendra, Prof Geetha Holla and others were present.
