‘Speaker favours installation of Wadiyar’s portrait at Vidhana Soudha’

Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri responded positively to install the portraits of Chamarajendra Wadiyar X and Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar in the Legislative Assembly, said District In-charge Minister S T Somashekar.

Speaking to reporters here, Somashekar said that he informed the Speaker about the plan to instal the portraits and he responded positively.

He said, “The government is committed to the development of Mysuru tourism. Senior leaders have given a list of 15 to 20 points for the purpose. I will urge the CM to implement them for the welfare and growth of Mysuru. The list includes Mysuru Dasara Authority, water supply among others.”

Somashekar, also Cooperation Minister said, The government had targeted to distribute Rs 15,300 crore loan to 24.50 lakh farmers through the cooperative sector. Now, we have distributed Rs 12,975.34 loan among 19,99,508 farmers.”
