Sports is a great leveller, says Mayor

Employees of 32 industries participate in cricket tournament in city

Appreciating the tournament organised for the working class, he advised the participants to take part in various social work activities to ensure equality.

He also urged them to excel in sports and make a contribution to the society.
While mentioning that the working class are the backbone of the country, he said that the country is making rapid progress in the industrialisation.

Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal said that sport is necessary to have a sound mind and body. Even though working class employees don’t get salaries equivalent to IT/ BT companies, they know how to lead a happy life, he added.

Employees of 32 industries  including J K Tyres, Mysore Polymers, VST, Automotive Axles are participating in the tournament. Association Secretary K Guruprakash, Mypol Deputy Manager Sharath Chandrashetty, Bhoruka Aluminium Manager Prashanth, Shanthanaik, VST’s Mohandas and others were present.
