'Take steps for smooth conduct of Kodagu utsav'

Procession Committee President T P Ramesh gave out information on the procession to be held from Gadduge to Gandhi Maidan on May 28. Culture Committee President Addanda Karyappa gave out information on the cultural programmes while stage committe president G Chidvilas informed that arragement has been made to put up pendal to accomodate 2000 people at a time at the venue. Various departments are ready to put up their stalls at the venue, he said.

Transportation Committee President Ramesh Joyappa said that 28 routes have been identified from where conveyance will be provided to the venue of the utsav. Private and KSRTC buses will be used for this purpose, he said.

MLA Appachu Ranjan said that no conveyance fare must be collected from those coming to the venue to attend the programme, in the buses. For this, there is a need to take private bus owners into confidence.

Publicity Committee President H T Anil said that publicity works have been started in AIR, local cable channels and other media about the programme. The publicity works will be intensified in future.

Food Committee President Dharmappa said that preparations are going on to provide food for the people attending the Utsav.

ZP President Ravi Kushalappa, Deputy Commissioner Ashwathnarayana Gowda, Superintendent of Police Manjunath Annigeri and others were present.
