Two murdered in Kodagu

While Sharath (19), son of ginger merchant Chandranna, was gunned down by unidentified miscreants who arrived in a Maruti van at Koodige on Monday at around 11 am, Seegethoduvina Krishna (42), who belong to Upparashetty community, was killed at Gonikoppalu on Sunday evening.

Three miscreants had fired at Sharath, while he was engaged in business at his shop near Koodige Circle. Dispute with regard to property is said to be the reason for murder. Bharath, a resident of Adinadur had injured Chandranna two months ago and it was also reported that a group clash had taken place in the town on Sunday too. Police traced the Maruti van, which was used by miscreants at Siddapura near Banavara on Monday.
In another incident, Seegethoduvina Krishna (42), who belong to Upparashetty community, was killed brutally on the main road at Gonikoppalu town on Sunday evening. Police arrested one Kaikeri Manju (30), who is a relative of Krishna.

Electrocuted
A villager was electrocuted accidentally when he came into contact with a live electrical wire, which was lying broken on the ground, at Kottageri near Balele here on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Alamengada Poovaiah Poovani (52). The live electrical wire was lying on the courtyard of Poovani’s house.
