Zonal level science model expo from December 29

Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, MGM College Principal Prof Dr P Venktramana Gowda informed that the main theme of the expo is ‘Save planet earth.’

The sub themes are ‘Impact of global warming,’ ‘alternate material,’ ‘e-waste,’ ‘food preservation,’ ‘Eco friendly utilization of natural resources,’ ‘Application of satellites,’ ‘Origin and evolution of life’ and ‘Nano technology,’ he said.

The competition will be inaugurated by Kundapur Assistant Commissioner K N Ramesh.  T
he first prize winner will receive cash prize of Rs 3,000. The second prize winner will receive Rs 2,000. As many as 80-100 models are expected to be displayed. About 20 colleges of Mangalore University will take part in the competition, he said.
