'BJP will get single digit seats in Karnataka'

Minister for Water Resources D K Shivakumar said that BJP will be reduced to single digit seats in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, he said “the BJP in the past had formed a government based on false promises. It is not possible this time. The Congress-JD(S) coalition will not allow the BJP to win more than single digit seats in Karnataka.”

“I had expected PM Narendra Modi to give a report card on the achievement of NDA government during his visit to Mangaluru recently. We had heard of Acche Din in the last Lok Sabha election. Unfortunately, the Acche Din never came for the people. PM did not raise a word on Acche Din. Now, once again he is engaged in telling lies and seeking a vote. NDA government led by Modi failed to fulfil the promises as promised.”

The coalition of JD(S) and Congress will benefit the Congress only. All the differences of opinion among the coalition partners in Mandya, Hassan and other constituencies have been solved, he said.

A few who had raised differences of opinion were in JD(S) in the past. Our party workers had fought against them for long when they were in JD(S). When they joined Congress, we had supported them. Everything will be set right,” he said.
