DK Shivakumar denies commenting on CD row

KPCC President D K Shivakumar denied commenting on the alleged CD scandal involving former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi and said that the Congress's efforts were focused towards winning the by-election.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Shivakumar said he has prayed to the almighty for success in the upcoming by-election. KPCC Working President ,Satish Jarkiholi, after assuming office demanded that he be given responsibility of training party cadres. "We need to leaders who develop knowledge, teach discipline. How many such leaders do we have?" he questioned.

Satish Jarkiholi has been fielded for the Belgaum Lok Sabha Constituency by the Congress as he is a strong leader and none have objected his candidature, Shivakumar said
