BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has alleged that former chief minister Siddaramaiah was out to avenge his defeat at Chamundeshwari by pitting S P Muddahanumegowda and A Manju against Deve Gowda and his grandson Prajwal Revanna in Tumkur and Hassan segments respectively.

Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Eshwarappa said, "Siddaramaiah is playing games to defeat JD(S). Even H D Deve Gowda is aware of it. He (Siddaramaiah) will also make sure Congress candidate lose in Mysore-Kodagu constituency."

Terming the relationship between Siddaramaiah and Deve Gowda a Dhritarashtra hug, Eshwarappa said the collation government in the state will fall after the Lok Sabha elections.

On the newfound bonhomie between Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his Cabinet colleague D K Shivakumar, Shimoga City MLA Eshwarappa said, "Both Kumaraswamy and Shivakumar are corpulent bulls. Once the arch-rivals, they have joined hands out of the fear of losing the power after the general elections."

Replying to a query on BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil's statements against party candidate from Bijapur, Eshwarappa said, If you start questioning the decisions of the party leadership, then you are not fit to be the BJP worker."
