Kolar DC recommends suspension of 3 CET officials

Deputy Commissioner K V Trilokchandra has recommended the director of PU Board to suspend four officials including a principal for violating the norms during the Common Entrance Test (CET) exam held on Wednesday.

Principal of Kolar Government Girls’ PU College had appointed subject teachers as supervisors for the Physics exam held at the college centre, the deputy commissioner told Deccan Herald. “I have submitted a report to the PU Board on the said issue and have recommended the director of the board to suspend PU College principal Krishnamurthy along with Physics lectures who were appointed as supervisors at the centre Nagaraj and Sridhar and Kannada lecturer Gopalkrishna who had brought Physics lecturers to the college,” he said.

“I rushed to the centre after I got to know about the appointment of subject teachers as supervisors and took steps to appoint appoint others as supervisors. CET exam went off peacefully. No incident of malpractice was reported at the centre or at other centres in the district,” Trilokchandra added.
