Thousands of devotees thronged the mutt on Thursday to get a darshan of the seer, whose condition is deteriorating with each passing day. The mutt administration, in association with the district administration, is making necessary arrangements to provide food, water and shelter to the devotees.

Multiple helipads are being set up across Tumakuru to facilitate the visit of VVIPs from across India.

Meanwhile, Dr Ravindra of BGS Hospital, who is monitoring the seer’s health, said, “Swamiji’s albumin level is 2.7% and has shown no sign of improvement. Protein levels are very low which is resulting in accumulation of water in the lungs.”

Dr Paramesh of Siddaganga Hospital, who is treating the seer, told DH, “On Wednesday night, the seer had high BP and there was an irregular heartbeat. The vital signs have shown some improvement after treatment. Because of low protein levels, the seer is experiencing difficulty in breathing.”
