Leopard attacks two farmers in Tumakuru district

A leopard attacked two farmers while they were working in their fields in Mallenahalli of Madhugiri taluk, Tumakuru district on Friday morning.

The two injured farmers are Karianna and Shivanna. They were administered first aid at the taluk hospital, and are currently admitted to the district hospital.

For the last couple of days the leopard was hunting sheep in the region. The villagers complained that Forest department officials took no action to trap the beast even though such incidents were brought to their notice.
