A married couple flew down to Karnataka all the way from the Czech Republic in Europe to exercise their franchise in the Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha segment on Tuesday.
Sowmya and Vineet, both scientists, led by example after casting their vote. While Sowmya voted in Sirsi whereas Vineet voted in Harihara.
"Voting is our right. Having voted now makes us feel proud to be Indians. We can question our elected representatives only if we exercise our voting right. We came to vote regardless of the money it cost," Sowmya said.
