Demanding the waiver of farmers' loans and seeking support prices for their produce, the members of Rashtriya Kisan Maha Sangh have decided to gherao Sansad Bhavan, New Delhi, on February 23.

Led by the Maha Sangh, 72 ryots organisations from across India and lakhs of farmers from all over the country are expected to take part.

The ryots of Karnataka have decided to block state and national highways in support of the Delhi protest on February 23, according to the Federation of state farmers organisations' office bearers.

Karnataka farmers are demanding that Dr M S Swaminathan report recommendations be implemented and their produce be given fair and profitable support prices. The agricultural profit margins have risen by only 50 paise in the last two decades they claimed.
