A 45-year-old man was trampled to death by a wild elephant at Hullemala village in Sargur taluk on Friday. The deceased is Prakash.
According to sources, Prakash was at his field on Thursday night to guard the ragi that was harvested when the incident occurred. The incident came to light when his family members came to the the farm on Friday morning.
