35 flood affected get houses

The district administration has finally distributed houses to 35 beneficiaries who lost their houses in landslides and flash floods that hit Kodagu last year.

The government had constructed 35 houses on 4.80 acres of land on Survey number 178/1 at Karnangeri village, said Assistant Commissioner T Javare Gowda.

The Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation had constructed the houses.

As many as 106 victims had appealed to the district administration demanding houses at Karnangeri.

Three persons had lost their houses at Karnangeri. They have been given the houses at Karnangeri itself.
