More than 40 children fell sick reportedly after consuming ice cream at Hengavalli and Belve Gram Panchayats near Siddapura.
The children are being treated at the local PHCs.
Some ice cream merchants from North India were selling cup ice cream in the villages on Saturday. After consuming the ice cream, the children complained of stomach ache and were shifted to Belve and Shankaranarayana PHCs, resident Uday Poojary told DH.
Doctors at the PHC said the children were recovering and out of danger. The police rushed to the spot and collected information on the incident.
