Bison menace in Koove GP limits in Mudigere taluk

Fear has gripped the residents following Bison menace in Haadioni village of Koove Gram Panchayat in Mudigere taluk.

The bison stray into the coffee plantations from the reserve forest and engage in damaging the coffee plants, pepper vines and arecanut plants. As many as four bison were seen crossing the main road in the village.

The villagers have urged the Forest Department to pay compensation for the loss of crops.
