‘Develop lake, well at Datta Peeta’

Bajrang Dal and VHP have urged the deputy commissioner to develop a lake and a well on the way to Manikyadhara from Datta Peeta.

In a memorandum submitted to Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham, they said the historic lake on the right side of the road from Datta Peeta-Manikyadhara is filled with silt. Even a well situated nearby should be cleaned. Seating arrangements should be made for the tourists to sit.

VHP district convener Yogish Raj Aras said the Muzrai Department officials are posing a hurdle for holding ‘Hunnime puja’ at Datta Peeta.

He said that the officials are not allowing the offering of flowers to Datta Paduke and Anasooyadevi Peeta.
