Explosives found, 1 arrested

A man from Kalasa was arrested on Tuesday for illegal storage of explosives.

Based on accurate information, Kalasa police raided a house in Gorimakki and arrested the owner of the house, Abdul Aziz (45).

Superintendent of Police Harish Pande said that 14 gelatin sticks and 40 detonators have been found.

Abdul Aziz, who is a merchant by profession, is being questioned. He has been living in Kalasa for the last 39 years.

Extremist links are ruled out by the police. It is possible that the explosives were used for stone quarrying, said the SP.
