Karnataka: Ban on sale of tobacco products in Chikkamagaluru

The sale of tobacco products, pan masala has been banned in the district. The administration taken this decision, as spitting on the public places after consuming the tobacco products and pan masala could enhance the spread of coronavirus and pneumonia.

The case will be registered against those who violate the lockdown guidelines, said Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham.
