Man held for illegal timber transportation

The forest mobile squad personnel on Sunday arrested a man who was transporting teak wood logs, illegally, in a car.

The arrested is P N Tanveer from Murnad. Wooden logs worth Rs 2 lakh have been seized, along with a car, worth Rs 3 lakh, from the arrested.

It is said that the arrested man was transporting the logs to Mysuru. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
