Parihara Adalat: 1,571 applications submitted

The district administration received 1,571 applications during the Parihara Adalat organised from May 27 to 29.

The Adalat had been conducted to address the grievances of the families who were deprived of the compensation.

Around 3,000 people took part in the Adalat, with submission of 1,121 applications pertained to crop compensation. As many as 412 people had sought compensation for damages on the houses. Four victims had applied for compensation towards the loss of livestock. Three had sought compensation for damages to domestic appliances. Two applications had been submitted by the inmates of relief centres for allowances, sources in the district administration said.

Assistant Commissioner T Javaregowda said the spot visits will be held after the scrutiny of applications before disbursing compensation to the eligible beneficiaries.
