JOIN USInstead of wielding lathi to maintain the law and order, the police personnel of Shanivarasanthe police station donned a different role on Thursday.
Instead of lathi, they held brooms and pickaxes to carry out a cleanliness drive in and around the station and quarters. The police personnel removed the weeds that had grown around the police station and police quarters and cleared the stagnant water in the drain. By removing the silt, they facilitated the easy flow of water in the drain.
Further, they also painted the walls of the building and the retaining wall.
PSI H M Devaraj, ASIs H M Govind, Shivalinga, police personnel Pradeep Kumar, Siddaiah, Praveen, Shafeer, Santhosh, Poornima and Prashanth were part of the drive.
Now, the police personnel are planning to lay a garden near the station.
