'True colours of Pratap Simha will come out soon'

MP Pratap Simha has been roaming about Kodagu during the last five years taking the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Simha’s true colours will come out soon, said Mahila Congress state president Pushpa Amarnath.

Speaking during an election preparation meeting organised by Congress in Kodava Samaja on Wednesday, she said that no development works have been carried out by the MP in Kodagu-Mysore constituency.

Stating that the people in Kodagu are wise and have decided whom to elect, the Congress leader said that the voters will teach a befitting lesson to the BJP leaders who have been giving false assurances under the pretext of publicity.

“The Congress is united in the district. All workers are committed to the victory of the candidate from Kodagu-Mysore,” said Pushpa.

KPCC spokesperson Muralidhar Halappa wanted to know why the prime minister has not been answering the questions by Indian media, even though he addresses press conferences in foreign countries.

“In India, the prime minister is speaking only through social media and through All India Radio,” said Halappa.

He alleged that the Central government has made no contribution to the loan waiver of farmers. Assurance on employment generation has turned out to be a bundle of lies.

Workers from various block Congress committees took part in the meeting.

KPCC general secretary and district in-charge Manjula Raj, KPCC correspondent Venkappa Gowda, former minister Suma Vasanth, leaders M C Nanaiah, K P Chandrakala, T P Ramesh, CMC president Kaveramma Somanna and District Congress Committee president K K Manjunath were present.
